On the next 25th of July, the first local meeting of the Interreg Europe MINEV project will take place in Bologna.

"Waste Minimization in Large Events" is the full title of the project launched in March 2023, in which the Metropolitan City of Bologna is partner. Over the next few, MINEV will works for the sustainability of large events, focusing in particular on the theme of waste minimisation; it will trigger processes to improve and strengthen policies and strategic tools in this area. The project will analyse different types of large events (from entertainment events to scientific, sporting and religious events, taking into consideration both indoor and outdoor events, and natural sites).

In this initial phase, it will develop an intensive programme of exchange and knowledge development, integrating the inter-regional level (involving partner from different cities and regions), and the local level, engaging local stakeholders.

With this in mind, a meeting with local stakeholders and actors will take place on the 25^th of July in Bologna. The meeting will take place online, starting at 10 a.m. After an initial presentation of the project's work plan and the results that emerged during the launch event held in Malaga at the end of April, some good practices that can serve as a reference and stimulus will be shared.

In particular, the experience of the City of Turin and their Foundation for Culture will be presented. This will be followed by a speech by ANCI Emilia-Romagna, which will retrace the #moNOuse initiatives and provide information on the ATESIR 2023 call for funding interventions to reduce disposable waste in events. Last Minute Market will finally talk about the practical experiences started with the Imola Autodrome.

Then there will be time for discussion and debate with the participants, and finally the next steps of the project will be shared.
