È presente alle esposizioni londinesi: nel 1778 espone alla Royal Academy due ritratti in miniatura.

La vecchia tradizione storiografica le attribuiva tutte le miniature contrassegnate “S.A.”, oggi ricondotte invece a Samuel Andrews. Probabilmente le appartengono alcune miniature contrassegnate “S”.

È stata interpretata come allieva di John Smart.
